Beetroot and Banana Milkshake

Beetroot has been gaining popularity as a new superfood, as recent studies suggest that it decreases the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and is a great way to lower blood pressure.

Not only does it have many health benefits, it can be used a natural food colour imparting a vibrant colour with a slightly sweet taste. Simple to use – just add the required amount to your recipes.

You will need

1 banana

250ml chilled milk (substitute with almond milk or soya milk if you prefer)

1 teaspoon TASTE- Hampshire Foods Beetroot powder.

Method

Slice banana and put in blender

Add the milk to the banana

Add the beetroot powder

Blend until smooth

Serve and enjoy
